ha spiegato a BANG Showbiz: "Spesso vediamo Merlin passare attraverso tante situazioni e gli deve far fronte e apparire allegro e nascondere molte delle sue emozioni vere.Mi piacerebbe vedere molto di più guardare sotto la superficie e guardarlo in modo maturo".
"credo che ciò sia azzardoso per quello che dovrebbe essere una commedia, ma il nostro pubblico è in crescita, come lo sono i personaggi e credo che sia importante che non perdano il contatto con i personaggi e cambiano troppo.Le persone cambiano e penso che qualsiasi cosa si muova verso una maturità e un rinvenimento di emozioni vere sarebbe fantastico".
Colin co-stars con Anthony Head e 'Un piede nella fossa' star Richard Wilson nello spettacolo- che è stato acquisito a livello globale in paesi come Germania, Francia, Australia, Norvegia e Danimarca - ha rivelato che sta costantemente raccogliendo suggerimenti da loro.

Colin Morgan wants viewers to see a darker side to Merlin.
The 25-year-old actor portrays the mythical wizard as a young man in the BBC TV series of the same name and revealed instead of his character hiding his emotions all the time, he would love to show his "damaged" side when the show returns for a fourth series next year.
He explained to BANG Showbiz: "We often see Merlin go through so many situations in that he has to put up a front and appear pretty jolly and suppress a lot of his true emotions. I'd like to see a lot more of the raw things come out from under the surface and get to see him in a more mature and damaged way.
"I think that is dangerous territory for what it is supposed to be a comedy show but our audience are growing up, as are the characters and I think it's important that those elements are incorporated into it as long as we don't lose touch with the characters and change too much. But people do change and I think anything that moves towards a maturity and an unearthing of true emotions I think would be great."
Colin co-stars with Anthony Head and 'One Foot in the Grave' star Richard Wilson in the show - which has been picked up globally in countries including Germany, France, Australia, Norway and Denmark - and revealed he is constantly picking up tips from them.
He said: They're amazing and so well-renowned for a reason because they're very good and very nice and very professional and there's lots to be learned from that. Of course they're icons in their own right and as a young actor when you're working towards your own version of that, it helps to learn from the best."
